New Online Course from the UUA; Balancing Acts

 


THE NEARI TRAINING CENTER

NEARI has provided state-of-the-art professional development training in areas of behavior management, staff development, organizational development, and special education. NEARI’s Training Center showcases  nationally recognized experts to create effective learning opportunities for the professionals and families who care for emotionally disturbed, traumatized, neurologically challenged, and learning disabled children and adolescents.


NEARI Online Training

NEARI is offering new online courses designed by national experts in the sex abuse field for clinicians, teachers, school counselors, psychologists, parents, probation and parole officers, or anyone:

  • who wants to learn some basic or advanced knowledge to address issues of inappropriate sexual behavior or sexually aggressive behaviors
  • who wants to earn APA, LMHC, or NASW continuing education credits

The 2-3 hour online courses can be taken at any time and wherever there is access to a computer and Internet connection.

NEARI’s Next Course:  A Collaborative Approach for Treatment with Sexually Aggressive Youth and Their Families

The Academic Certificate Program offers a ten-day training and certification to professionals working with sexually abusive children and youth.

Research over the past 20 years has provided dramatic insight into the understanding of sexually abusive behavior and sexual aggression.  Over this same period, the sex abuse field has seen an increase in the need for comprehensive, sex-offense-specific training, clinical supervision, consultation, program evaluation, and credentialing.  This unique program offers an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the key issues and research to improve your practice with these at-risk youth.  More>>
